Description
Spring Falls is a puzzle game about water, erosion, and watching things grow. Manipulate the landscape and bring wildflowers to life as you make your way down a peaceful mountainside.
History
The idea for Spring Falls (previously Spring & Flow) as a tile-based hexagonal puzzle game about erosion and water flow came during a sleepless night in early 2017. The first prototype was created that summer as an open-ended tile editor and sandbox. Development on the game proper began the following Winter, along with the focus on growing unique flowers. The nature theme became very important, and much of the audio for the game was recorded during hikes at Latourell Falls in Oregon and Gatineau Park in Quebec. Later, folk musician Derek Harrison was brought onto the project as a collaborator on the soundtrack. Spring Falls was an official selection in the Indie MEGABOOTH showcases at PAX East and PAX West 2019, and was a nominee at IndieCade 2019.
